Blueridge from Saga

Many guitarists know what kind of instrument to use for a particular style of music. A flatpicker knows that a D-28 or HD-28 is the standard for bluegrass/old-time music. A classical guitarist knows that a Ramirez 1-A will produce a great concert tone. The Blueridge line from Saga gives us all yet another guitar to consider when looking for a dreadnaught guitar. The basses are full and well defined. The trebles have the full-body qualities needed for fleet-fingered solo lines. The midrange has the same rich quality that one would demand from an all solid wood instrument. We've been extremely pleased with all of the Blueridge line that we have seen, with no corners cut to lower expense.

We carry two particular models from the Blueridge line: a mahogany dreadnaught (pictured above and to the left), and a rosewood dreadnaught. All of the woods used for these guitars are high quality solid-woods with no knots or unusual grain patterns. Again, no corners cut. Aesthetically, these guitars have striking appointments, with an ornate headstock design that is sure to catch the eye, and an overall appearance that could cause it to be confused with all of the Clarence White D-28 copies that have popped up. The necks are super fast with a slight C-shape. While the finish is the same sturdy type we see on most imports, it does not restrict tone, or slow down the playability of the neck. And on top of all of this, a hardshell case is included.

As with all of the guitars we carry, Blueridge guitars are checked for playability and construction. If you have any more questions concerning Blueridge guitars, email us.
