Music Folk Hosts an Irish Guitar Workshop with Patsy O'Brien

Patsy spends most of his year touring and collaborating with Uilleann Piping legend Paddy Keenan, with Paddy appearing on Patsy's latest solo work WHAT YOU KNOW (Tracks #4 and #6) and with further titles from the record making it onto their live set.

Na Piobairi Uilleann ( The Irish Society of Uilleann Pipers) have said "Patsy has developed a style all his own…while respecting the traditional values. His interpretation of folk ballads is the envy of most if not all of the young singers in Ireland today. He breathes fresh air into songs that some would consider dated. His contribution to the folk, traditional and contemporary music scene is immeasurable."

Patsy hosts workshops around the country, tours internationally with Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul, and also tours as a solo performer.

The workshop will last 2 hours approximately, with a solo performance by Patsy to finish.

Areas covered will include:

Left and Right hand technique
Tune accompaniment techniques
Session etiquette
Question and Answer throughout.
